00:00 Maya Thanks for joining. Let's start with the launch date.
00:04 Daniel Design is done, but the store listing still needs screenshots.
00:10 Maya Can we have those by Friday?
00:13 Daniel Yes, if marketing sends the final copy tomorrow.
00:18 Priya I'll send it tonight.
00:21 Maya Great. Then the launch date stays where it is.
The team keeps the launch date. Design is finished, and the store screenshots will be ready by Friday once marketing sends the final copy, which Priya sends tonight.

From audio file to transcript: what happens
When you choose a file, the page checks it first: the type, the size and, where it can be read, the length. A file longer than 5 h or larger than 512 MB is stopped right there, before anything uploads, so you never wait on a transfer that cannot finish. On the free plan, the same line tells you how much of the transcript you will be able to read.
After the upload, transcription runs on our servers rather than in your browser. You can close the tab once the upload is done; the finished transcript appears in your library, next to anything you record with SeaMeet. It is split into speaker turns, with a short summary and chapters you can jump between.
Set the spoken language before you start if you know it, or leave it on automatic detection. Recordings where people take turns, sit close to the microphone and stay away from loud music give the cleanest transcripts. If a recording mixes languages, choose the language that is spoken most.

Questions
Which files can I upload?
MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, OGA, WebM, AAC, AMR, SPX, OPUS, MP4, MOV, MKV. Each file can be up to 5 h long and 512 MB. If your recording is in another format, export it again from the app that made it, for example as MP3 or M4A, rather than renaming the file.
Which languages can it transcribe?
Speech in 55 languages. The searchable list starts on the language of this page, or of your browser, and you can also leave it on automatic detection. If the file sounds like a different language from the one you picked, one click transcribes it again in that language.
Do I need an account to transcribe audio?
Not always, at least to start. When the uploader says so, you can transcribe a file without signing in and sign in free afterwards to keep it in your library. Otherwise you sign in first, which costs nothing. The account keeps your transcripts and counts your free hours.
How do I transcribe audio to text for free?
Choose your file and press Transcribe, and sign in free if the page asks. Your account has 6 h of transcription in total, and each file uses hours equal to its length. On the free plan you read the first 15 min of every transcript; Sync Pro unlocks the rest.
Does free audio transcription include speaker labels?
Yes. Free and Sync Pro transcripts are both split by speaker, so you can see who said what in the part you can read. When the whole transcript is readable to you, you can rename each speaker, and the summary and chapters use the new names. Labels are most reliable when people take turns.
Is my file kept while I sign in?
Yes. If you choose a file before signing in, the page keeps it in this browser while you sign in, and it is ready to transcribe when you come back on the same device. Nothing starts until you press Transcribe.
