00:00 Maya Thanks for joining. Let's start with the launch date.

00:04 Daniel Design is done, but the store listing still needs screenshots.

00:10 Maya Can we have those by Friday?

00:13 Daniel Yes, if marketing sends the final copy tomorrow.

00:18 Priya I'll send it tonight.

00:21 Maya Great. Then the launch date stays where it is.

The team keeps the launch date. Design is finished, and the store screenshots will be ready by Friday once marketing sends the final copy, which Priya sends tonight.

How it works

  1. Choose an audio file up to 5 h and 512 MB; sign in free if the page asks.
  2. Set the spoken language or keep automatic detection, and press Transcribe.
  3. Read the first 15 min of the transcript, or upgrade to Sync Pro for the rest.

What the free plan includes, and where it stops

Every SeaMeet account gets 6 h of transcription in total. This is a lifetime allowance, not a monthly one: each upload uses hours equal to the length of the recording, and the whole recording is transcribed, not just the start. While hours remain, you can upload up to 10 files a day.

On the free plan you can read the first 15 min of each transcript. The rest is already transcribed and becomes readable when you move to Sync Pro, so the preview shows you real results from your own recordings, with speaker labels and chapters, before you decide whether to pay.

Before anything uploads, the page shows the length of your file, how many free hours it will use and how much of it you will be able to read. If a file is longer than the hours you have left, the Transcribe button turns into an upgrade button and nothing is sent. Sync Pro includes 50 h of uploads a month, full transcripts and no daily file limit.

Questions

What happens when my free hours run out?

New transcriptions stop, and the transcripts you already have stay in your library. To keep going, move to Sync Pro, which includes 50 h of uploads a month and full transcripts without the 15-minute preview limit.

Why can I only read the first 15 min?

Every minute of audio costs us money to transcribe. The preview lets you check how your own recordings come out, with speakers and chapters, before you decide whether full transcripts are worth paying for.

Is there a cap on free transcription?

Yes. Each account has 6 h in total and can upload up to 10 files a day. Each file can be up to 5 h long and 512 MB. These limits are the same whatever the file format.

Are all languages included on the free plan?

Yes. Free accounts pick from the same 55 languages as Sync Pro, or use automatic detection. The limits of the free plan are about hours, files per day and how much of each transcript you can read, not about which language is spoken.

Do I have to create an account?

Not always, at least to start. When the uploader says so, you can transcribe without signing in and sign in free afterwards to keep the transcript. Otherwise transcription starts after you sign in, which is free. The account keeps your transcripts in your library and counts your free hours.

Do I lose my file if I sign in after choosing it?

No. Choose the file, press Sign in free to transcribe, and the page keeps the file in this browser while you sign in. When you return on the same device it is ready to go; nothing starts until you press Transcribe.
