Is my MOV uploaded?

No. Your browser opens the MOV on your own computer or phone and writes the MP3 there, so the video stays with you. Picking Transcribe this file is the only step that uploads anything, and then only the audio goes to SeaMeet.

Is there a size limit for long MOV videos?

Converting has none, because the video isn't uploaded. Your device only needs free storage for the MP3, which is far smaller than the MOV. For transcription, one file can be up to 512 MB and 5 hours.

Can I convert a MOV on my iPhone?

Why is the MP3 so much smaller than the MOV?

Almost all of a MOV's size is the picture. Once the video frames are dropped, what remains is the soundtrack, which as an MP3 takes a small share of the space. A higher quality setting makes it somewhat bigger.
