Uzbek recordings, two alphabets and mixed speech
Uzbek (oʻzbek tili) is in SeaMeet's language list, and this page starts the picker on it. Our own short test of Uzbek hasn't been run yet, so we make no promise about the result: read the free first minutes of your transcript before you rely on it, and try automatic detection if they look wrong.
Uzbek is written in two alphabets. The official one is Latin, with oʻ, gʻ, sh and ch, while Cyrillic still turns up in older documents and with older relatives. We haven't confirmed yet which of the two the transcript comes out in, so check that in the preview too, especially if the text is going into a school or office document with a set spelling.
Most of these files are Telegram voice messages, calls with relatives working in Russia, Korea or Turkey, job interviews and university lectures. WhatsApp's published list for its own voice transcription doesn't include Uzbek as of now, and Telegram's Premium feature publishes no language list. A voice note saved as a file can be uploaded here like any other recording.
In Tashkent offices people often slip Russian words into Uzbek. Keep the picker on Uzbek when most of the talk is Uzbek; each file is transcribed in one language, and automatic detection also picks just one.

Questions
What if my file isn't in Uzbek?
Choose the language that is actually spoken in the list, or pick automatic detection. If the transcript sounds like another language, one click transcribes the same file again in that language, without uploading it a second time.
Has SeaMeet been tested on Uzbek?
Not yet by us. Uzbek is in the language list, but our own short test hasn't confirmed it, so we don't say how well it works. Read the free first minutes and compare them with the audio. If they look off, try automatic detection.
Will the transcript be in Latin or Cyrillic letters?
We haven't confirmed that yet for Uzbek. The official alphabet is Latin, with oʻ and gʻ, and there is no alphabet setting. Check the free preview before you paste the text into a document that needs one alphabet, and convert it yourself if needed.
What happens to Russian words in Uzbek speech?
Keep the picker on Uzbek when most of the talk is Uzbek. A file is transcribed in one language, so short Russian phrases are written as they are heard and may need a quick check. A conversation that is mostly Russian should use Russian.
Is Uzbek transcription free?
Yes, within the free limits: a free account has 6 h of transcription in total, and the first 15 min of each transcript are readable on the free plan. Sync Pro unlocks full transcripts.
