A Russian transcript in Cyrillic, not transliteration

The transcript is written in Cyrillic (русский), the way Russian is written, not in Latin transliteration. If you searched for Russian transcription and meant a Latin spelling of the words, convert the checked text with a separate tool afterwards. The letter ё may be written as е, as it often is in everyday Russian, so fix it where your text needs it.

Russian is spoken in many countries, and recordings from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan or the wider diaspora all go to the Russian model. Choose Ukrainian or Kazakh in the picker instead if that is the language of the recording; the file is transcribed as one language, so pick the one spoken most.

Typical files are Telegram voice messages, work meetings, university lectures and interviews. Speaker turns keep a lecture apart from the questions after it. Names, patronymics and specialist terms are the parts to check first. The SRT subtitles keep the Cyrillic text, with times taken from the spoken words.

What if my recording isn't in Russian?

Choose the language that is spoken, or pick automatic detection. If the transcript sounds like a different language, one click transcribes the file again in that language.

Can I get the transcript in Latin letters?

No. The transcript is written in Cyrillic, the way Russian is normally written. If you need a transliteration for a passport name or a reference list, convert the text you have checked with a separate tool.

How do I transcribe a Telegram voice message?
