Convert OGG to MP3

OGG · OPUS · OGA · MP3 · M4A · WAV · FLAC · WebM · AAC · MP4 · MOV · MKV

Converting happens in your browser, so your file never leaves your device. Transcribing uploads the audio to SeaMeet.

Choose an OGG voice note or another OGG audio file and save it as an MP3 that any player can open.

How it works

  1. Choose the OGG or OGA voice note you saved.
  2. Pick the quality and select Convert & download.
  3. Save the MP3, or transcribe the message.

Voice notes saved from Telegram and WhatsApp

Telegram saves voice notes as OGG files, often ending in .ogg or .oga, and WhatsApp on a computer downloads them as .ogg too. Games and open-source apps also use OGG Vorbis for music and sound effects. The trouble starts when you save a voice note: the file often has a name like a long string of numbers, and many players, editors and phones outside the app refuse to open it.

To save a voice note, long-press it in the chat and use Share, Export or Save, depending on the app, then choose the file here. Your browser converts it on your device. Voice notes are personal, and converting them doesn't upload them anywhere.

An MP3 plays everywhere, which helps when you want to keep a message from someone, send it on, or put it into a video. And if a long voice note is easier to read than to listen to, Transcribe this file sends the audio to SeaMeet and returns the text.

Questions

Is my voice note uploaded?

No. It is converted in your browser and stays on your device. Choosing Transcribe this file uploads the audio to SeaMeet, because transcription runs on our servers.

Is there a limit on how long the voice note can be?

Not for converting: nothing is uploaded, so only your device's free storage matters. If you transcribe it, a file can be up to 512 MB and 5 hours.

How do I save a voice note from the chat?

In most messaging apps, long-press the voice note, then choose Share, Export or Save to Files. On a computer, the desktop app usually lets you right-click the message and save it. Then choose that file here.

What is the difference between OGG and OPUS?

OGG is the file container. Inside is usually the OPUS codec for voice notes, or Vorbis for music and game audio. Files that end in .opus have their own OPUS to MP3 page, but this one reads them too.
